Martinsville Gardens

I think this place has rebranded as a 2nd "Chand" location, but sometimes difficult to get Google Maps to change. Anyway, went here for a friend's 50th Birthday Party and it was very pleasant. Beverages and food and service were good. Emcee liked to hear himself talk (lots of extra volume and distortion) and festive music was way too loud. Parking and grounds very good. Bring earplugs or hire a different Emcee next time.

My parents hosted an ethnic event for my sister at Martinsville Gardens in December 2021 – which naturally fell on me to coordinate between my parents and her requests (she’s located in LA) to make it less formal/traditional. Throughout this process, Vishal and Ajay Uncles were very accommodating with our requests and changes – which involves a lot of patience and adjustments when fusing two different perspectives. Each time I reached out to Vishal Uncle he made himself available or went out of his way to make sure we had what we wanted (he stayed waiting for us pre-blizzard and allowed us to visit off-hours when my sister wanted to do another venue viewing for when she was in NJ months after we put the deposit down). Normal people sign a contract and then plan, yet our obsessive nature quibbles at details, which I am sure can be very frustrating for a vendor – but each time we requested something or obsessed, it was never disregarded and Vishal Uncle handled everything with patience, cooperation, and understanding and was very helpful with suggesting vendors that were within our budget and better suited for our event (engagement party/celebration rather than a traditionally loud Punjabi ring ceremony spectacle). The menu selection was great and tailored to what we wanted for this event; the team was accommodating with the additional external catering we did last minute – which in hindsight, we could have done all of it internally with Chand/Martinsville but when your family is also in the restaurant business it’s unavoidable to not think about the menu and its variety for your guests. Vishal and Ajay Uncles were great to work with – the primary deciding factor that we chose to work with Martinsville Gardens was due to them caring and listening to the type of event and working with us to create that (negotiable too with additional add-ons that we were not charged for – which made the higher price per person compared to other venues worth it), for that reason we felt they were a great fit and we had a lovely event that everyone enjoyed!

Last night, we went to a birthday party at this venue and had an extremely unpleasant experience. To put it bluntly, it was a complete disaster. The service was dreadful, the food presentation was subpar, and they claimed to serve lamb as "bhana gosht" even though it wasn't authentic. The bartenders lacked proper training and couldn't even make basic drinks, and to make matters worse, their attitude was terrible. I strongly suggest discussing these concerns with the management before considering booking your next event here. Personally, I do not recommend this place.

We hosted our sons wedding reception at Martinsville Garden in April 2023. I must say that this was the best decision my wife and I made when we chose this place. The interior has been recently renovated with a new bar and have added a waterfall in the front, which serves as a nice area to take photographs. We worked with Ajay who was very courteous and was a pleasure to deal with. He gave us a choice of menu, offered his thoughts on the multiple vendors that we needed but was very respectful of our decision. Right from the day we met him, he was downright professional. He was always available for us to either answer questions or to meet him at our convenience. He assured us that they treat every event as their own and I must admit that’s exactly what they did and delivered. He was very accommodating in some of the last minute logistics and was magnanimous in allowing us to come a day earlier and decorate the place(as there was no event the previous day). Most places won’t allow it but it was not an issue here at Martinsville Gardens. On the day of the event, The entire event without a hitch and I was completely hands free as Ajay and his brother were there in the background to make sure that everything ran smoothly. The food was sumptuous, delightful desserts and plenty of beverages (both nonalcoholic and alcoholic). They offer a variety of choice, some of them unique and the guests were extremely happy. We are coming back here for sure to host future family events. A sincere thanks to Ajay and his team for making our son’s special day a memorable one

This venue is beautiful!! It's quiet, remote, and tucked away in a forest-like area. We had a wedding here recently and Vishal and his team exceeded our expectations.The parking lot was a perfect place to have a baraat. The food (including breakfast, lunch, dinner) was amazing. We got so many compliments on the food from our guests. Vishal's team went above and beyond on catering - they even provided freshly baked cookies, chai, and lemonade during the break between our wedding and reception. Also, the food during our cocktail hour (shoutout to crisply idli shooters) was a hit. If you are considering this venue for your event, I would definitely recommend it. Food, service, and general atmosphere - 10/10.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding at this venue. Ajay and his team at Martinsville Gardens were beyond exceptional. They were so easy to work with and accommodated us in everything we had asked for. The venue is stunning and I will definitely refer friends/family to celebrate their special occasions at Martinsville Gardens. Thank you so much again Ajay and the team!!
